In 2016, the international oil price continues to be low and fluctuating, experts predict that it will keep low for a long period in the future, in face of the international oil & gas market at a time low demand, how to pull through will be a great issue needed to be solved for each oilfield unit and oilfield service provider.
Since early 2016, in order to adapt to the environment, improve the core competitiveness, stay for good opportunity, each oilfield unit, oilfield service provider, and related foreign enterprise has been vigorously implementing low-cost development strategy and technology innovation on low-cost development and high recovery efficiency.
In order to together discuss about how to embrace challenge and grasp opportunity, the 9th International Petroleum Summit will be held in Beijing again. The summit will focus on low-cost development, by analyzing industry developing prospect and industry policy discuss practical and feasible new technologies and methods, and then share low-cost development experiences on water drive reservoir, heavy oil reservoir, and high recovery efficiency practical experiences on gas injection and water injection.

Industry Background:
In recent years, as the fastest growing segment in clean energy field, LNG industry is becoming a hot spot for investment. “China Gas Development Report 2016” was released by the National Energy Administration Oil& Gas Department, Resources and Environment Policy Institute in Development Research Center of the State Council, and Oil& Gas Resource Strategic Research Center in Ministry of Land and Resources. According to the report, natural gas is a low carbon clean energy and it is rich in resources, most developed countries have taken it as an important substitute energy option. Shale gas revolution in the US has substantially raised the world’s expectation of natural gas reserves. Natural gas has become the world’s most promising main energy.
As a clean alternative energy, the demand for natural gas is increasing rapidly while the consumption of LNG is also increasing. China is a country lack of energy and for a long time, natural gas is an important part of China’s energy consumption and energy strategy. For a long term, China suffers from serious environment pollution problem caused by coal-based energy consumption structure. So how to resolve the environment problem by increasing natural gas especially the LNG becomes a must-face strategy problem for Chinese government.
Furthermore, LNG industry is facing many difficulties because of the low oil price. But for many insiders, LNG is still one of the next energy developing key. Huge amount of LNG export and construction of LNG receiving infrastructure shows that the future development trend is increasing. Facing the unstable market as the development of LNG meets uncertainty, what will the global LNG industry supply and oil price fluctuation bring to natural gas market? Will China’s LNG industry keep developing? In order to promote China’s LNG industry development, 2017 International LNG Technology Summit will focus on industry developing trend, market analysis, LNG transportation, LNG low-temperature material, equipment and technology to discuss the future of the LNG industry by the combination of summit and exhibition.
