CIMC Raffles, Preferred Semi-submerged Platform Supplier

Yantai CIMC Raffles Offshore Limited (hereafter referred to as "CIMC Raffles") is an integrated offshore builder capable of engineering, construction and commissioning of large offshore vessels. (Booth in cippe2013: W1214)


The "Taisun" semi-submersible platform building model is a revolution in the industry. "Taisun" has contributed for the folding of 8 semi-submersible platforms since 2008 and has equipped the bulk design & building ability for semi-submersible platform.


CIMC Raffles has successfully finished 8 deepwater semi-submersible platforms to Dec. 2012 and also have 6 semi-submersible platforms under construction.


The semi-submersible platforms of CIMC Raffles have been run in global mainstream oil and gas development areas, from Norway North Sea to the Gulf of Mexico, Brazil and West Africa, with wide types covering full range of products from the mid-deep to deep to super deep water.


The company made a significant breakthrough in the core design based on rich practice of the projects: GM-4D semi-submersible platform has 80% intellectual property, Explorer Lifter semi-submersible lifting life platform and CA380N semi-submersible life platform bag 100% intellectual property.


The "Explorer", independent design of CIMC Raffles, handed over on Dec.18, 2012.


CIMC Raffles historically finished a deepwater semi-submersible platform in 27 months and realized a change from purchasing basic design to independently completed basic design on Chinese offshore enterprise making deep sea platform design and construction.
